Ron has travelled extensively doing business in Canada, from Alberta and back to Ontario where he chose to stay close to his roots. He has travelled all over Ontario including, London, Sarnia, Windsor, and Chatham. Ron also did a brief stint in Michigan, USA, to provide training to builders there. "You'd be amazed at the houses I have seen and built. I think it is about time I started to use some of these ideas!" Ron lives with his wife Verna in Blenheim, ON and has his daughters who also help out with the business: Connie, Billie-Jo and Shelley Blair, of Whatever You Want Design. He enjoys spending time with his grandkids when not building houses. Ron Blair began working with his father, quickly striking out on his own. In the beginning Ron focused his attentions in London, ON and surrounding areas working for larger builders. He quickly became known for the quality of building and his genuine desire to give the client what they wanted. Ron Blair Construction combines innovation with experience to develop unique solutions to challenging homes. Ron has built many different styles of buildings ranging from residences, to offices, to apartment buildings and condominiums. As his company grew so did his reputation and demand for his expertise. Later, Ron began building in other areas in Ontario, north to Collingwood and west towards Windsor. He has helped many other framers get started and eventually branch out on their own through personal training or apprenticeship programs. In 1996 he struck out to Alberta to work as a foreman to Wescana, organizing construction for condominiums and residences. After a year, he returned to Ontario and back to his roots in Chatham, ON, where he applied for licensing with the Tarion Home Builders Warranty program, so he could contract the homes for different homeowners and ensure the quality of his work. In 1998, he began collaboration with his daughter Shelley, who later registered as Whatever You Want Design. While neither company is solely dependent on each other, they both benefit from the other’s experience and skills. Ron also occasionally collaborates with his son in law Shawn Lumley of Con-Pact Concrete as well.
